That is not including networks such as HBO, Showtime, etc. Most of those networks also host their own streaming service anyway!

A perfect way to save money for your monthly budget and still catch your favorite shows is to forgo cable TV and subscribe to a steaming service. Now, we are sure you’ve heard of and already used steaming services, but which one is best for you?

Netflix

Starting with the most popular streaming service Netflix helped pioneer the industry.

Subscriptions.

For $7.99 a month, viewers can watch in standard definition on one device at a time with the Basic plan. The $10.99 per month Standard plan throws in high definition and one more device for simultaneous streaming. The Premium plan goes for $13.99 per month, provides ultra high definition, and lets you stream on up to four screens at once.

Pros

Netflix is among the cheapest, as well as being ad free with no extra charge.

They have shifted the focus of their streaming service towards original series such as Stranger Things, The Ranch, and House of Cards.

Cons

New episodes can take quite a while in production before they hit the air. Older shows are also being pulled due to the licences cost not worth renewing on their end.

Tied up with Netflix for the cheapest subscriptions Hulu is focused on preexisting TV shows as well as creating unique content.

For $7.99 a month, subscribers can access the Hulu Streaming Library. For $39.99 a month, viewers have access to the Hulu With Live TV plan, which features more than 50 live and on-demand channels and allows streaming on two screens simultaneously. Add-ons like enhanced cloud DVR, unlimited screens, and no commercials are also available. 

Pros

Users are allowed to create up to six user profiles for the whole family. Episodes air the day after they air on network television. The Handmaid's Tale, Harlots, and The Path are a few of their more popular original series.

Cons

No options for offline viewing is one of the biggest gripes subscribers have with their service. Ad Free viewing also requires another fee.

Amazon’s Prime Video

Subscription

Prime Video is included with Amazon Prime, if you are a member you already have a subscription! If you aren't an Amazon Prime customer, you can subscribe to the video service alone for $8.99 per month.

Pros

Amazon’s Prime Video has one of the largest collection of movies. You will always be able to find something new to watch.

Cons

Currently we are limited to viewing on two devices. Since Amazon Prime is tied down to your Amazon account you are unable to create more than one user profile.
